Video game fans are in for a real treat in 2023 as multiple significant products from PlayStation, Nintendo, and Xbox are scheduled to go on sale over the course of the year.

While Elden Ring, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Horizon Forbidden West, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and Sniper Elite 5 all contributed to the year’s success, that is not to say that 2022 hasn’t already been noteworthy. Simply put, there have been numerous delays in 2022. In fact, there are so many that 2023 is already shaping up to be one of the most packed years yet, and that’s just considering what we already know.

2023 might just be the best year in gaming history. Here are the top 5 most anticipated video games this year.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

The second installment of Square Enix’s unprecedented three-part project to rebuild and reinterpret the cherished Final Fantasy 7 story. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth looks to follow Cloud, Tifa, Barrett, and pals as they attempt to alter history and stop Aerith from dying at the hands of Sephiroth, picking from where Final Fantasy 7 Remake left off.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is slated to debut on the PlayStation 5 in the winter of 2023.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

When Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League debuts, it will have been eight years since Batman: Arkham Knight, the last game produced by Rocksteady. Players take control of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark in an effort to permanently dethrone Superman and the Justice League as they work as Task Force X, a motley crew that the fantastic superhero company turns its attention to.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is expected to be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in the first half of 2023.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

For the cost of one, two Spider-Mans in one video game? You are too kind to us, Insomniac. The sequel will allow players to take on the roles of both Peter Parker and Miles Morales as they battle Kraven the Hunter and Venom. As a Marvel character Spider-Man is immensely popular in the gaming industry with huge successes under its belt such as Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The character even appears in the gambling world with popular slot games by Playtech, a software provider that provides slot games for Bet MGM, one of the best online casinos in PA.

In 2023, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will debut on the PlayStation 5.

Resident Evil 4

With Resident Evil 4, Capcom, which has been in excellent form lately, is remaking arguably its most well-known game ever for a new generation. Although the story is intriguingly altered a little, players will once more take control of US agent Leon Kennedy on a mission to free the president’s daughter from a corrupt violent cult in a rural Spanish village.

On March 24th, 2023, Resident Evil 4 will go on sale on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

A follow-up to the widely praised Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Cal Kestis is back in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Respawn, a game studio best known for Titanfall and Apex Legends, will once again work with Lucasfilm Games on the sequel, which will pick off five years later with the young Jedi trying to survive the Empire’s Golden Age.

In 2023, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is expected to be released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
